Simon Playle Fine Swiss Voiles

When designing a room for the British Interior Exhibition in 1988 Simon Playle found a lack of fine pure cotton voiles and sheers. The potential for creating a collection of these was obvious. Simon sourced the collection in Switzerland, a country with a long standing history and reputation for producing high quality textiles and in particular embroidery.

The collection has expanded over the years to include plain and embroidered linens, off white and ivory cotton voiles and even an unusual fine wool sheer.  Among the charming and more popular patterns are ones embroidered with lily of the valley, wild strawberries, sprigs and leaves, even a hunting scene as well as stripes and checks.

The plain voiles are available in various widths including some three metres wide. For commercial projects there are flame proof Trevira qualities.
