Objet Insolite

Objet Insolite are based in Paris with a workshop in Normandy.  They design and manufacture wonderful table and floor lamps, chandeliers, wall lights, furniture, curtain poles and finials as well as door furniture.  The company was founded in 1996 by Augustin Granet the son of the famous sculptress Roseline Granet.  Many of the designs reflect this heritage as well as that of Brancusi and Giacometti.

Their designs are cast in bronze with patinated, gilded, verdigris or nickel finishes.  Their proportions allow them to be used in traditional or modern settings.  Some have architectural qualities, whilst others are whimsical and amusing.

Objet Insolite, in English 'unusual objects', is accorded by the French state the status of EPV-Enterprise du Patrimonie Vivant.

All the models are produced to order.  The lamps are available with their own beautiful shades in a range of whites and off whites as well as rich dark colours.  Objet Insolite products can be seen in France Embassies around the world and various grand hotels including Claridges in London.
