M. L. Foiret

Mary Lee Foiret – known as ML – was passionate about carpet design. The daughter of an eminent Canadian architect she was born in Montreal where she attended McGill University. She worked for Mrs. Marion McDougal, a leading interior designer of the time before arriving in London in the 1950s where she worked for George Spencer Decorations in Sloane Street.

Today Simon Playle Ltd. are proud to continue the legacy of weaving her marvellous detailed custom coloured designs in fine Worsted wool loop pile.
